Our general English courses are designed for students who want to improve their ability to communicate in a practical, spontaneous way, whatever their starting level.
The methodology is 100% speaking-based. From the very first minute you use English through conversations, activities, practical simulations and real situations, while also working on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and listening.
The aim is to give you the tools to express yourself with more fluency, confidence and ease, broaden your resources and handle different situations with confidence.
Content and learning plans are adapted to each student’s or group’s level, goals and needs and evolve with you, so you apply what you learn to real situations.

You use English in a practical way in everyday life: conversations, travel, social relationships, current affairs and the contexts in which you need to understand and communicate.

Speaking is at the heart of the classes. Through conversations, activities, simulations and other practical tasks you use the language constantly, react more naturally and gain confidence.
More vocabulary and resources to communicate
We gradually broaden your vocabulary, common expressions, phrasal verbs and structures so you express yourself more accurately and naturally, always according to your level.

The classes
How are the classes structured?
Classes adapted to each student’s or group’s level, goals and needs.
Before starting we assess the participants’ level, goals and needs. With that information we design the learning plans and adapt the content so each class works on what you need most.
Sessions have speaking as their main focus: conversations, activities, practical simulations and real situations, while also working on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and listening.
The teacher guides the session with continuous correction and individual feedback, so you identify your mistakes, broaden your resources and communicate with more fluency, confidence and ease.
Grammatical accuracy
Grammatical structures worked on in a practical, oral and contextual way, so you use them well when communicating.
Vocabulary and expressions
Vocabulary, common expressions and phrasal verbs adapted to your level.
Speaking and fluency
Conversations, activities and practical simulations to gain fluency and confidence.

What else should you know?
FUNDAE-subsidised training
Our courses are eligible for FUNDAE subsidies in Spain, so your company can use its available credit to train its employees.
We are registered to deliver company-organised training (formación programada por las empresas), in person and online, and we provide the documentation you need. How the subsidy works.
Cancellation policy
We understand that schedule changes or unexpected events can happen. That’s why classes can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge with at least 24 working hours’ notice.
Classes cancelled with less than 24 working hours’ notice are charged and cannot be made up.

What level is the course for?
Any level. We adapt objectives, content and learning plans to your starting point and develop them with you.
How is it different from a Business English course?
General English focuses on everyday life: conversations, travel, social relationships, current affairs and everyday situations. If you need English for your work, take a look at our courses for companies and professionals.
Are the classes 100% speaking?
Yes. You use English constantly through conversations, activities and practical simulations; vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation are worked on within that practical context.
Can it be one to one or in a group?
Both. Groups are small and of a similar level: up to 4 students online and 5 in person.
Are classes in person or online?
Both, at our school in Madrid or by videoconference, with the same methodology and a flexible schedule.
How is my level determined?
With a level test and an analysis of your goals. With that information we design your learning plans.
Are mistakes corrected during the classes?
Yes. The teacher provides continuous correction and individual feedback so you gain accuracy without losing fluency.
What happens if I have to cancel a class?
You can cancel or change it free of charge with at least 24 working hours’ notice. With less notice, the class is charged and cannot be made up.
